We wanted to update you today in light of the latest developments around the Coronavirus outbreak across the world and assure you that Ilapak UK, its parent company IMA in Italy, its employees, and the management team are continuing to monitor and develop contingency plans for responding to COVID-19 and the effects it has on the supply chain and our ability to continue to support our customers.
In our manufacturing plants we are continuing to engage with our key suppliers to try to minimise delays, shortages, or other supply chain issues. All parts that are shipped to us from our factories are sanitized and we are applying tighter controls within our own spare parts warehouse.
At this point, we do not have reason to believe there will be significant disruption, though things are rapidly changing, and the impact is not fully understood. We want to ensure our customers' businesses are supported and have engaged with our staff and have plans in place to adapt our working patterns and environments in a way that will allow us to continue to provide support.
This will involve some home working and a skeleton staff in the office/warehouse as and when the time arrives. Our factories are also working in a flexible way to ensure continued support to us and onwards to our customers.
Ilapak is committed to the health and safety of its employees and continues to monitor the information and guidelines being issued by the UK government. We are endeavouring to conduct business as usual and have introduced strict hygiene rules to all of our staff, limiting the personnel in our facilities, stopped all non-essential travel, and asking all sick or symptomatic employees to stay at home as per the current guidance.
We have a team of field service engineers who will remain available to support you providing that the situation on travel across the country remains unchanged and of course they remain healthy.
Ilapak UK will do its very best to communicate any changes should they occur.
Lastly, all of us Ilapak UK and across our IMA group would like to thank you for your continued business, especially during these challenging times!
Should you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us at your convenience.
